In this chat, Elizabeth will be talking about the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum, of which she is on the board of directors. IPHF is moving forward in new directions by building on its past. They are moving from a brick-and-mortar gallery in St. Louis, MO, to focus on web-based educational programming with lectures and workshops on Portrait, Landscape, and Architectural photography and spirited discussions on topical issues.
They are also pushing forward with photographic competitions to extend their reach internationally. Access to the Hall of Fame inductees as judges helps raise their global visibility, and their contests provide attractive awards and detailed and extensive feedback to the winners via the juror’s statement on each of the selected images.
IPHF is also investigating new gallery programming initiatives and believes in expanding public access to remarkable works of art to help raise the profile of photography as the fine art form it truly is.
