As many of you know, I believe in the photographic print. You may have heard me say, “You don’t have a photograph until you can hold it in your hands.” I truly believe this. Maybe I am old school, but I know and proudly admit I am a printing addict.
I have three printers in my home and four printers in the Digital Studio at the Indianapolis Arts Center. I teach printing at the Arts Center and hold five—to four-day workshops during the year. In these workshops, you learn all the ins and outs of printing and walk home with a stack of prints that you have made. Details for the workshops can be found on the Rockhopper Workshop’s website. Check them out and consider joining us for one of these five workshops in 2025. This weekend, we have a full house for the last workshop for 2024.

Royal Photographic Society
A few months ago, I was very honored to be contacted by the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and asked if I would do a program for their membership. I have several programs I do, but I decided to create a new one for RPS on The Joy Of Printing. I was asked to present this live as a virtual presentation. We had an audience of a few hundred photographers, and it was a lot of fun.
I invite you to enjoy the recording of the Joy Of Printing. Hopefully, it will encourage you to investigate printing your work and see a number of ideas on what you can do.

Last Words
Printing will be an important topic for photoPXL throughout the coming months, so look for short and longer tutorials on printing, projects, hardware, and software.
Thank you to all the folks at the RPS, and I hope to participate in another program with them in the future.
